Bark Park is designed for dogs to play, sniff, explore and enjoy themselves in a purpose-built indoor environment.

These Rules of Play help us keep the experience enjoyable, enriching and safe for dogs, their humans and our team.

By entering Bark Park, you agree to follow these rules and any reasonable directions given by our team.

🐾 Your Dog, Your Responsibility

1. Stay with your dog.
You must remain on the premises and actively supervise your dog throughout your session. Your dog must remain within your visual contact and under your control at all times.

If you need to briefly leave your dog to use the bathroom, please let a team member know first so we can assist.

2. Be responsible for your dog's behaviour.
If your dog is displaying behaviour that is causing stress, fear or conflict with another dog or person, please take action immediately. This may include giving your dog some space, moving to another area, taking a break or ending your session.

Our team may also ask you to remove your dog from the play area if necessary.

3. Keep your dog on leash where required.
Dogs must remain on leash in the car park and all areas that are not designated off-leash areas.

4. Clean up after your dog.
Poo bags and bins are provided throughout Bark Park. Please clean up promptly and speak to our team if you need assistance.

5. Take responsibility for your dog's actions.
You are responsible for any damage caused by your dog. If your dog injures another dog or person, please provide your contact details to the other party and notify a Bark Park team member before leaving.

 

🐶 Let Dogs Be Dogs

6. Let the dogs play.
Bark Park is designed for dogs to interact, explore and engage with their environment. Please allow dogs to play naturally and avoid encouraging behaviour that may create unnecessary competition or conflict.

7. Be mindful with toys.
Throwing balls or toys can sometimes create competition between dogs. If you notice tension, guarding or competition developing, please stop the activity and allow the dogs to reset.

Our team may also ask you to put particular toys away if they are creating conflict.

8. Keep food and treats under control.
Please do not give food or treats to dogs you do not know.

If you use treats with your own dog, please be mindful of the dogs around you and avoid creating competition. Food for group bookings must be approved by Bark Park management in advance.

 

🧼 Keep Bark Park Clean & Comfortable

9. No outside drinks.
Outside drinks are not permitted. Our Bark Bar & Café has a range of drinks available for humans to enjoy while you're here.

10. No glass.
Glass containers are strictly prohibited on the premises.

11. Please look after the space.
Do not deliberately damage, destroy or misuse Bark Park's toys, equipment or facilities.

 

❤️ Kindness Comes First

12. We have zero tolerance for inhumane treatment.
Dogs must always be treated with kindness and respect.

Kicking, hitting, punching, slapping, poking with objects or any other form of physical punishment is strictly prohibited.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Humans at Bark Park

13. Children must be supervised.
Children must remain with their supervising adult and stay within the designated areas of the park.

14. Bark Park is designed for dogs.
Our equipment, toys and play areas are designed specifically for dogs. Please do not sit, climb, jump on, move or otherwise use the equipment as human play equipment.

 

🐕 A Few More Things

15. Dogs in season.
Female dogs who are in season cannot attend social or group sessions. Private Play is available as an alternative.

16. Unwell dogs must stay home.
Please do not bring your dog to Bark Park if they are unwell or showing signs of illness.

17. Follow our team's directions.
Our team may give reasonable directions relating to your dog, the use of the space or the safety and wellbeing of people and animals at Bark Park. Please follow these directions.

18. Failure to follow the Rules of Play.
Failure to follow these rules, or behaviour that puts people, dogs or our team at risk, may result in you being asked to leave the premises and/or being refused future access to Bark Park.

A Note About Play

Bark Park is a place for dogs to play, sniff, explore and experience new things. With all that activity and excitement, there are a couple of things to keep in mind.

Tired dogs are happy dogs.
Your dog may be very tired after their visit, especially if it’s their first time or they’ve had a particularly active session. Some dogs will need a little extra rest afterwards while they recharge.

Play comes with some inherent risk.
Dogs run, jump, wrestle and interact with their environment, so minor bumps, scratches or other injuries can happen, even with appropriate supervision and care. While we take reasonable steps to provide a well-managed environment, we cannot eliminate every risk associated with dogs playing and interacting.

If your dog is showing signs that they need a break, are uncomfortable or are not enjoying the experience, please give them some space and speak to our team if you need help.
