Terms & Conditions of Entry to Bark Park Play Centre for Dogs

These Terms & Conditions apply to your use of Bark Park Play Centre for Dogs, including Play, Events and Pawties.

​

For the purposes of these Terms & Conditions, Bark Park Play Centre for Dogs will be referred to as “Bark Park”, and the person making a booking or entering the premises will be referred to as “you”.

By making a booking, entering Bark Park or allowing your dog to participate in a Bark Park activity, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms & Conditions, the applicable Rules of Play and any additional conditions applying to your booking.

 

Conditions of Entry

To participate at Bark Park:

• Your dog must be at least 16 weeks old.

• Your dog must have current vaccinations appropriate for their age.

• Your dog must be in good health and free from contagious illness.

• Your dog must not have had a contagious illness within the previous 30 days.

• You must notify Bark Park of any relevant health, behavioural or other circumstances that may affect your dog's ability to safely participate.

 

Bark Park reserves the right to request evidence of vaccination or health status where reasonably required.

 

Behaviour & Social Play

Bark Park is a shared environment and all owners are responsible for their dog's behaviour while attending.

Dogs participating in group or social sessions must be suitable for the environment and able to participate without creating an unreasonable risk to other dogs, people or themselves.

If your dog displays aggressive, threatening or significantly disruptive behaviour, Bark Park may require you to remove your dog from the session or premises.

If Bark Park determines that your dog is not suitable for a particular group session or event, we may refuse participation or recommend an alternative service, including Private Play where appropriate.

Owners must remain responsible for their dogs and maintain effective control of them at all times.

 

Owner Responsibility

You are responsible for:

• Your dog's behaviour while at Bark Park.

• Supervising and maintaining control of your dog.

• Providing accurate and relevant information about your dog's health and behaviour.

• Any damage caused by your dog to Bark Park property or another person's property, subject to applicable law.

• Following Bark Park's Rules of Play and any reasonable directions given by Bark Park staff.

 

You must immediately notify a Bark Park team member if your dog becomes unwell, injured or involved in an incident while attending.

 

Early Termination of a Session

Bark Park may require a dog to leave a session or event if we reasonably believe their behaviour, health or circumstances present a risk to the dog, another animal, a person or the safe operation of the premises.

If you are required to end your session early because of your dog's behaviour or circumstances, the session fee will not ordinarily be refunded.

This does not affect any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

 

Cancellations

Unless different cancellation terms are stated for a specific event, party or booking:

Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the scheduled booking time will be charged at the full booking amount.

Where a booking is cancelled with at least 48 hours' notice, any applicable refund or credit will be handled in accordance with the terms of the specific service booked.

Event, Pawty and special-ticketed bookings may have different cancellation and refund conditions, which will be displayed at the time of booking.

 

Right to Refuse Entry

Bark Park reserves the right to refuse entry or participation, or to require a dog or owner to leave the premises, where we reasonably believe this is necessary for the safety, welfare or enjoyment of dogs, people or staff, or to maintain the proper operation of Bark Park.

Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason for the decision.

 

Photography & Video

Bark Park may photograph or record dogs, owners and groups participating at Bark Park for use in our marketing, social media, website, advertising, promotional or educational materials.

Where practical, we will avoid intentionally identifying individual people without their permission.

If you do not wish for yourself or your dog to be photographed or filmed for promotional purposes, please notify a Bark Park team member before your session or contact us in advance.

No additional payment or compensation is provided for the use of images or video captured by Bark Park for these purposes.

 

Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable law.

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you may be entitled to cancel the service contract and receive a refund for the unused portion or compensation for its reduced value. You may also be entitled to compensation for other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

Where a service failure does not amount to a major failure, you may have the right to have the problem rectified within a reasonable time.

These rights apply in addition to any other rights you may have under Australian law.

 

Acceptance of Terms

By proceeding with your booking or entering Bark Park, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions and agree to comply with them, together with the applicable Rules of Play and any additional terms applying to your booking.

You acknowledge that you are responsible for ensuring your dog meets the conditions of entry and is suitable for the activity you have booked.
